F. A. T.'s   (That's Fantastic Angling Tips...)

Actually, we could really use some fantastic tips. If you could send us some we'd be ever so grateful.

However, we don't need any that are illegal, painful,  biologically impossible or against the public decency laws, because we've had loads of those already. If your tip catches us fish, we'll make sure that the credit is placed where it belongs*. If it doesn't, then we'll make sure everybody knows it's all your fault.

The 'Convenience' Rig

This is a great rig for night fishing sessions or for cold days because you can get all the fiddly bits done at home. Re-baiting or changing this rig in the dark or cold is easy.

1. You need a packet of these Korum     Quickstops

 4. Remember  to finish by threading the line from the back of the hook towards the point

 7.  Job done...now let's sort out the other end. If youlike to pull the  hooklength through 'Dynamite Stick'  PVA presentations. then you might want to avoid using a swivel.

 10. ...and use the loop you tied at the end of the hooklength to  pull the hooklength through the sleeve.

13. And secure it by sliding up the anti tangle rubber .

 2. Thread your hooklength material through one of the quickstops and tie it on

 5. The finishd job looks like this. Add some shrink tubing t this stage if needed.

8 . So these Fox anti tangle rubber sleeves mean a simple loop at the other end is all you need.

 11. One of these Fox Quicklinks is attached to end f your leader..

So there you have it! Just a couple of ideas you can use with your own rigs to make life a bit easier.  These products have been out ages so you should have no problem getting hold of them.

Got a favourite rig of your own? Why not tell us about it?

3. You can make the hair any length you like. Use the 'Knotless Knot' to tie the hook on...

 6. Use a baiting needle to push the Quickstop through the bait.

 9.  Push a baiting needle through one of the sleeves...

 12. Loop the hooklength over it...
